Enfield, UK (PRWEB UK) 3 September 2012
There have been 280 company formations in Enfield during the second quarter of 2012, more than any other second quarter on record for the area. The previous second quarter record was set in 2011, when 231 companies were formed.
The Borough of Enfield is currently undergoing large-scale regeneration, with investment being aimed at four key areas. New Southgate will see a network of green spaces introduced, as well as re-modelling of housing areas and the introduction of mixed-use developments.
In Ponders End, there will be a new waterfront development and new high quality housing, while the framework for Meridian Water includes the creation of 3000 new jobs and 5000 new homes. Edmonton Green will also be redeveloped, though plans for this are still at the consultation stage.
Managing Director of Duport.co.uk, Peter Valaitis said:
“There is so much scope for business start-ups in Enfield. The wide range of redevelopment projects has already begun to kick-start the economy of the area, and new businesses are catching on that this is the place to start a company.”
With regeneration programmes that are set to continue well into the future, Enfield is a borough on the up. The record number of new company registrations seen in the last quarter is a testament to its growing economic success.
