PALM HARBOR, FL (PRWEB) September 04, 2012
Team members at Nationwide Title Clearing, Inc. (NTC) have been volunteering at the Homeless Emergency Project (HEP) since 2010, and this year is no different. Beginning again in July this year, 17 NTC employees (and their families) signed up to contribute their personal time as volunteers in the thrift store and kitchens that cater to shelter residents. They have experienced such positive feedback from the HEP staff and shelter residents that NTC has decided to make an ongoing project of it. Currently, NTC employees help serve the evening meal on every second Saturday of each month. Several employees have also begun volunteering in the thrift store that benefits the shelter. The HEP program provides homeless and very low-income individuals and families with housing, food, clothing and support services necessary to obtain self-sufficiency and improved quality of life.
“When NTC has the opportunity to give back to members of our community, we always encourage our employees to participate.” commented NTC CEO John Hillman. “It is important to realize that we all need to come together to make Tampa Bay a better place to live for everyone.”
Located in Palm Harbor, NTC is a privately-owned leading service provider to the mortgage and financial industry. They perform land records research services and processes documents for the residential mortgage servicing industry. NTC has long been dedicated to helping the community through events like blood drives, toy drives and the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life of Palm Harbor.
HEP is a registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Since 1986, it has been their mission to break the cycle of homelessness and be the last homeless shelter an individual or family ever has to access. Visit ethep.org for more information.
NTC plans to make this company-wide employee volunteer project with HEP a permanent community initiative.
