Denise Dougherty, MS, CCC-SLP, a well respected Speech-Language Pathology instructor, shares her expertise in Alternate Nutrition and Hydration (ANH) and also in developing a business plan for private practice. Ms.Dougherty's first webinar assist professionals in putting together a sound business plan for their practice. "Developing a Business Plan for Your Private Practice", is a 2 contact hour course broadcasting on Friday, September 21st at 8pmET. "Specific information is required in a business plan. If the background work is not completed, it is possible the business may not be profitable" Ms. Dougherty explains. "Appropriate consultations will help you put together basic information for the plan and assist in determining your business structure and accounting methods."

The second webinar from Ms.Dougherty looks at the education process necessary for decisions on alternate forms of nutrition and hydration(ANH). "Decision Making for Alternate Nutrition and Hydration", a 4 contact hour course, broadcasts live on Saturday, September 22nd, at 11amET. "Speech pathologists are often providers of education to families and staff in situations where the patient is unable to maintain their needs by eating", she states. "There are misconceptions about ANH that may need to be addressed with families and staff. It is important that whatever decision is made, it is an educated, informed decision."

Ms. Dougherty owns a private practice where she conducts therapy with both children and adults. She received her Master's Degree from St. Louis University and has completed postgraduate courses at Johns Hopkins University and several doctoral courses at University of Phoenix.
