In thanks for helping Navy Federal Credit Union grow to four million members, the first ever worldwide Member Appreciation Week kicks off on Monday, September 17, 2012. The credit union invites all of its members to come enjoy special events and unprecedented offers at any one of its 222 branches around the world through Sunday, September 23, 2012.

“Our members are the reason for the strength and stability of Navy Federal,” said Cutler Dawson, President/CEO. “They’re the ones who spread the word about Navy Federal and encourage family and friends to join. I’m happy to recognize them and give something back.”

Dawson describes the activities of Member Appreciation Week as exciting for members, as the credit union proudly touts some of the best offers to date on certificates, loans, and member referral incentives. Members can also enjoy an atmosphere of celebration with food, giveaways, and the culmination of the Facebook video challenge ongoing since August.

The Tell Us Why You Love Navy Federal Facebook video challenge received close to 200 story submissions from members around the world. Navy Federal encourages Facebook fans to vote on their favorite video from September 10 to September 19, with the winners being announced September 22. Six first-place winners each receive a $4,000 certificate – additional winners get their share of the $31,000 prize.
