It will then display screenshots of some of those similar users' recent newsletters (keeping email addresses totally anonymous). A Wavelength user can then take a closer look, see if the chosen newsletters could be a good fit, and then reach out to the publishers and possibly develop partnerships.
Wavelength is part of MailChimp’s Email Genome Project. Other Genome projects include Omnivore, MailChimp’s automated abuse detection service, and Unfurlr, a service for uncovering URLs and identifying risky destinations. MailChimp also uses the EGP database for ad hoc research studies like the recent sending analysis showing that Gmail is now the most popular free email domain.
