Onas Entertainment announces the return of Nigeria's legendary pioneer of Miliki styled juju music; Chief Commander Ebenezer Obey, performing in America for the first time in 30 years with his 18 piece band.

Onas Entertainment is proud to announce the return of Nigeria’s musical legend; Chief Commander Ebenezer Obey to Los Angeles on Friday, September 21 and at Oakland, California on Saturday, September 22, 2012.

Obey began experimenting with traditional Yoruba percussion style music by including electric guitars, keyboard, multiple talking drums and drum kits in the early 60’s. Both Obey and King Sunny Ade introduced juju music to the outside world and Obey style is called Miliki, which translate to enjoyment in Yoruba slang. Ebenezer Obey is also known for spiritual messages in his music and in the early 90’s became an ordain pastor. Until recently, Chief Commander Ebenezer Obey has not performed many of his over 200 hits in public. This is indeed a rare opportunity for African music lovers to see and enjoy Miliki styled juju music by its original creator.

Also performing with Chief Commander Ebenezer Obey are King Sunny Ade dancers, World music and international DJ’s with emphasis on music from across the African continent. Delicious Nigerian food, arts and fashion will be featured. Tickets are available online at and also at various African theme stores and fashion outlets in Los Angeles and Oakland, California.
