Gifts A GoGo (, the one stop gift shop for great gifts and gift baskets, celebrates the grand opening of its first retail store on September 29 in the courtyard of La Piazza at 604 Main Street, Suite D. The owners, a husband and wife team from Millbrae, wanted to bring gift giving to a whole new level by offering unique products to the coastal community most special to them.

“We’re thrilled to see what started out as a hobby turn into a lifelong dream that combines everything that we are passionate about,” said Sherri Hill, owner and founder of Gifts A GoGo. “I have wanted to open a store since I was a little girl and since allergies got in the way of becoming a florist, I developed a knack for designing gift baskets and filling them with unique contents that get people talking – something I continue to do for our company every day.”

Eighty percent of Gifts A GoGo’s store selection is either handmade or made in the U.S. Some of the inventory will include photo note cards featuring the owner’s photography from the area, handmade and non-toxic wooden toys, all natural soaps, all natural candles and unique wood banks.

Shoppers will enjoy access to products featured on the popular site via a large screen TV as well as the company catalog. Customers can continue to order online and have their gifts ship to their desired destination within the continental U.S. or shop in store and personally deliver their gift.

“I can’t wait to show our customers just how beautiful our collection is and also showcase the amazing artisanal talent we’ve seen right here in our own country,” said Hill. “Some of my personal favorites are a retired great grandpa’s handmade piggy banks and the first U.S.-made rubber duck in a very long time. One-of-a-kind items like this coupled with our reputation for high quality gifts differentiate our store and make us feel like we are offering our customers options that they can feel great about giving and receiving.”

Gifts A GoGo was established in February 2009, originally named FondTimes. What started out as a nostalgic hobby site for Hill and her husband, Scott, soon started carrying nostalgic candy, which quickly became the contents of Gifts A GoGo’s first and most popular gift baskets. Today, Gifts A GoGo features more than 800 baskets for dozens of gifting occasions, including corporate gift giving, and ships anywhere in the continental United States for $7.99. Christmas, Easter and Mother’s Day are popular seasons for the site, but new baby baskets and birthdays keep them busy year around.

Residents and visitors of Half Moon Bay can get a sneak peak of Gifts A GoGo’s unique line of products right away. Starting September 29, the store will celebrate its grand opening with additional inventory, special events and more.
