"Understanding the federal marketplace is like assembling a jigsaw puzzle without the picture," says Michael S. Rogers, CEO.

While most security integration companies had a rough year in 2011, with sales revenues dropping four percent, on average, from 2010 to 2011, according to Security Dealer Magazine (SDM), some companies boosted their sales revenues last year. Securityhunter, Inc. was one of the top performing companies in the industry, according to SDM, and was ranked as number 20 in their list of their 'Top Systems Integrators Report' for 2012, which ranked companies in North America based on revenue of new projects for 2011. For ranking purposes, SDM reviewed companies whose business derived over 50 percent of their revenue from the sale, design, engineering, installation and service of multi-technology electronic security systems. Technologies considered in this analysis included access control and identification, management, video surveillance, and other security technologies. In both 2010 and 2011, the corporate market was the primary sector contributing to 2011 revenue, followed by industrial, education, healthcare and government sales as important vertical sectors, according to SDM. Securityhunter is one of the companies whose mainstay last year was the government market.
Securityhunter provides security integration services in large part through a five year $500 million Blanket Purchase Agreement(BPA) awarded to it by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to provide security services to government agencies such as the Department of Defense and the Department of Veterans Affairs.
"The key to our growth was solving the riddle of federal government sales," says Michael S. Rogers, Securityhunter CEO. "Understanding the federal marketplace is like assembling a jigsaw puzzle without the picture. It took us ten years to figure out the picture. We now understand the picture, and our federal clients know this,” says Mr. Rogers. Securityhunter’s total sales revenue was over $20 million last year. Year to date sales are already nearly double those of 2011.
