Dr. Winifred S. Hayes, President and CEO of Hayes, Inc., a research and consulting firm dedicated to improving the quality and value of healthcare through the use of evidence, is pleased to announce that Hayes, Inc. has received a contract award from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) Office of Communications and Knowledge Transfer. AHRQ is the lead federal agency that sponsors and conducts research into healthcare outcomes, quality, cost, use, and access. AHRQ's Knowledge Transfer Program is intended to accelerate the dissemination and implementation of AHRQ's evidence-based products, tools, and research findings into the healthcare system, making them available to providers, educators, patients, policy makers, and researchers.

“We are honored to be chosen for this program and are eager to support AHRQ and the Office of Communications and Knowledge Transfer in their ongoing efforts to improve the safety and quality of the healthcare we provide in the United States,” says Dr. Hayes. “With our partners, Deloitte Consulting, LLP; JumpStart Healthcare Communications, LLC; and Global Prairie Marketing, LLC, we will identify the informational needs of target audiences and then design and implement innovative ways to deliver AHRQ’s research findings to them. Ultimately, we aim to go beyond the simple dissemination and transfer of information. We want to ensure that AHRQ’s evidence-based research findings are actually used by healthcare decision-makers and put into practice.”

Dr. Susan Levine, Senior Vice President of Knowledge Services at Hayes, Inc., will assume the role of AHRQ Knowledge Transfer Project Director, and Ms. Cici Collins, Vice President of Government Services at Hayes, Inc., will act as Project Coordinator.
