Las Vegas Printing Company Announces ‘Global Community Initiative’ Amid Decline in Charitable Donations

Las Vegas Printing Company CEO Brandon Stapper recently announced the launch of the company's 'Global Community Initiative'. This initiative is focused on giving back to the community both locally and on a global scale.

CEO Brandon Stapper announced on Friday that Las Vegas Printing Company has launched their new Global Community initiative, an effort by the company to give back to the community both locally and on a global scale. “Our Global Community initiative is designed to create opportunities for those who wouldn’t usually have them,” Stapper said. “One of the ways we’re working to achieve these goals is through microloans around the world with Kiva.org.”

Kiva.org, a website that helps users fund entrepreneurs in struggling countries, allows Las Vegas Printing Company to support the cultivation of new business through $25 microloans. “Kiva.org lets us directly fund new businesses and entrepreneurs that typically wouldn’t see this kind of funding,” said Stapper. “$25 may not seem like much, but to an individual struggling to start their own business in a poverty stricken area, it’s a miracle.”

This is not Stapper’s first time providing support to aspiring entrepreneurs. As a member of the Board of Directors for the Entrepreneur’s Organization, Stapper has a substantial amount of past experience helping start-ups and other entrepreneurial efforts. “A lot of business owners, including myself, wouldn’t be where we are now without the help and support of those who believed in us and our ideas,” Stapper commented. “I haven’t forgotten all the help I had when I was getting started and that’s why I want to give back to the communities that have allowed me to thrive.”

While much of the Global Community initiative is directed at cultivating entrepreneurship around the world, Stapper stays true to his promise of giving back to the local community as well. The second half of the initiative is dedicated to providing sponsorship to local charities in the greater Las Vegas area. Local charities and non profit organizations can apply for event sponsorship through this sign up form on LasVegasPrinting.com. “We want to give everyone the same opportunity for sponsorship,” said Stapper. “Organizations or individuals who are planning a charity event can send us information about their event and we can see what we can do for them. We’re looking to sponsor as many events as possible or at least get involved at some level.”

Las Vegas Printing Company’s offer of sponsorship comes at a time when charitable donations and support for non profit organizations are at an all time low. While Nevada was one of the best states in the country for charitable donations in 2004, by 2009, the state had dropped to one of the worst. “As business owners who have seen success thanks to community support, it’s up to us to give back,” Stapper says. “The Las Vegas charity and non profit community need the help of Las Vegas businesses now and we’ll be doing our best to meet that challenge.”
