Elmer’s® Restaurants’ Enhances Family Bonding and Offers Free Kids’ Meals During Grandparents Weekend

Elmer’s®, a group of locally owned restaurants located throughout the Pacific Northwest, strives to be the restaurant of choice for families. In order to fulfill this mission, Elmer’s® annually hosts Grandparent’s Weekend, a two-day event when families of all ages (grandparents optional) are invited to dine at any Elmer’s® restaurant and receive all kids’ meals for free. This year, the event runs September 8th and 9th, and Elmer’s® invites all families to join them!

Elmer’s® has long been dedicated to guest service with personable, gracious and genuine staff and a commitment to using fresh Northwest ingredients in their menu items. “We are a family oriented company and want to thank our guests for their loyalty and welcome them as part of the Elmer’s® family,” said Jerry Scott, Elmer’s® Restaurants CEO. “As the Official Restaurant of Grandparent’s Day®, we have a unique opportunity to show families how important they are to us by picking up the tab for all children who dine with us through the weekend.” This consistent, superior level of customer service makes everyone feel welcome and at home, making Elmer’s® an ideal destination for family dining.

This year’s Grandparents Weekend marks the 3rd time Elmer’s® has celebrated families by offering free kids’ meals for an entire weekend. Celebrated for their menu filled with home-style cooking and farm-fresh ingredients, it’s the perfect kid-friendly restaurant to bond with loved ones and save money. As the only sit-down restaurant in the area to offer free kids’ meals, regardless of how many children per table or what family members accompany them, Elmer’s® is thrilled to open their doors to local families.

In addition to Grandparents Weekend, Elmer’s® invests in the community wherever they can. Having recently partnered with Portland Rescue Mission, Children’s Cancer Association and Portland Rose Festival, Elmer’s® makes it a priority to care for their community by reaching out to families, children and homeless people who are hurting and hungry.
