The conference will take place September 12 - 13 at the BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center in New York City. Joining the roster of distinguished thought leaders and innovators are NASA astronaut Donald Pettit, who will discuss his role capturing some of the most iconic images from the International Space Station, as well as renowned photojournalist David Burnett who will speak about film photography and mixing techniques in a time of technical change. Others new to the lineup include Gary Morgan, CEO and Co-Founder of Splash News, who will tackle the influence of the celebrity news industry; and vert skater-turned-professional photographer Tyler Shields who will showcase his controversial work and engage the audience in a lively back and forth.
Pettit, Burnett, Morgan, and Shields complete the Luminance 2012 lineup, joining leaders from Facebook, Google, Blurb, Behance, 20x200, Hipstamatic, and more.
