Lewisville, NC (PRWEB) September 07, 2012
Kaplan Early Learning Company has once again joined forces with DonorsChoose.org, an online charity connecting people to classrooms in need.
DonorsChoose.org provides an avenue for public school teachers to submit project requests for the specific materials their students need to learn. As their name implies, donors choose which projects to support. Once a project is funded, DonorsChoose.org delivers the materials directly to the school.
As a partner of the DonorsChoose.org Double Your Impact Program, Kaplan Early Learning Company will match select projects that have been 50% funded by individual donors. For example, if a kindergarten teacher raises $50 in individual donations towards a $100 art easel, Kaplan Early Learning Company will match the remaining 50% towards that given item. Kaplan Early Learning Company's partnership with the Double Your Impact Program began on August 27, 2012 and will continue until all of the grant funding is distributed.
Kaplan Early Learning Company supports DonorsChoose.org projects that develop the skills children need for success in school, including early literacy, math, science, social/emotional intelligence and physical wellness. Founded in 2000, more than 238,000 public school teachers have used DonorsChoose.org (http://www.donorschoose.org) to secure funding for $120 million in books, art supplies, technology, and other resources that their students need to learn. Through DonorsChoose.org, individuals from all walks of life have helped 6.8 million students.
