Rhode Island Man Wins $10,000 at Golf Tournament

Jim Tiernan of West Warwick, Rhode Island, won $10,000, paid for by Hole In One International, the nation's largest hole-in-one insurance provider.

Tiernan won the giant cash prize during the 6th Annual Coventry Girls Softball League Golf Tournament at the Wood River Golf Club when he aced the 217-yard par 3 hole 7 with his driver. It was Tiernan's first hole in one.

The $10,000 prize was sponsored by Councilman Carl Mattson, a former assistant coach for the tee ball division and a long time supporter of the CGSL.
