to Launch Nationwide Agent Directory on October 1

For two years, has provided car insurance information and allowed insurance shoppers to request auto insurance quotes. On October 1, the company is broadening their service by launching a nationwide directory of insurance agents, for customers who prefer to make direct contact with someone local.

For two years, visitors to have been able to read articles about various kinds of auto insurance, and how to reduce what they spend for coverage. They’ve also been able to use an online engine to request an insurance quote. Now the website is expanding its service by offering customers a nationwide directory of insurance agents, so they can make direct contact with an insurance representative in their state.

Set to launch on October 1st, 2012, the agent directory will be free to users, who will be able to search for a local auto insurance agent by city and state or by zip code. For agents, inclusion in the directory will be free as well, but only for a limited time. president David Stevens explains the decision to incorporate a directory by saying, "It's no secret that everybody wants to save money on car insurance. We already offer a collection of articles providing tips and advice, and an online quote engine. With this directory, we're helping consumers who prefer to work with local businesspeople, but we're also helping those local agents connect with consumers."

Visitors to don't have to wait until October 1st to save money. The directory will be an addition to the existing site features, not a replacement. In order to get an insurance quote right now, all consumers must do is provide their zip code and click the "get quote" button, then answer some basic insurance questions.
