Big4.com, the premier social networking forum for professionals and alumni of Accenture, Andersen, BearingPoint, Capgemini, Deloitte, Ernst & Young, KPMG and PricewaterhouseCoopers PwC reports that Helen Morrison has joined the firm as a principal in the National Tax Department, following her position as Deputy Benefits Tax Counsel in the U.S. Department of Treasury’s Office of Tax Policy.
Big4.com notes that while with Treasury from 2007 to June 2012, Morrison was a senior Treasury advisor on executive compensation matters, including Section 409A deferred compensation rules, Section 457A rules on deferred compensation for companies in “tax indifferent” jurisdictions, and other tax-related compensation provisions, in addition to her role in health care reform. In her new role, she will help clients address compliance and management of health care reform, executive compensation and other key employee-benefits tax issues.
Kate Barton, Vice Chair of Tax Services for the firm comments:
“We’re delighted that Helen has chosen to bring her experience from Treasury, where she worked with Ernst & Young LLP Tax leaders Michael Mundaca and Eric Solomon,” she said. “Her combined government and industry knowledge will be extremely valuable to our clients, particularly as health care reform moves into its next stages.
