MojoBistro is an innovation created by Mojolicious designed exclusively for the restaurant industry. Restaurants nationwide, ranging from small independents to large national chains, from quick-serve locations to fine dining establishments, are able to establish and build upon their mobile presence for a fraction of the cost normally associated with creating a mobile app or mobile website. At the core of MojoBistro is the MojoBistro Test Kitchen, an intuitive, easy to use web-based application, designed to eliminate the complexity normally associated with building and maintaining mobile apps and mobile websites. With MojoBistro Test Kitchen, restaurant owners can successfully and efficiently engage their mobile, on-the-go customer.
For the restaurant, MojoBisto provides a new marketing channel for engaging their most loyal customers. Promotions and events are given heightened awareness through the use of timely alerts. Coupons can be generated and distributed to drive traffic and increase repeat visitors.
For the consumer, having their favorite restaurant’s mobile application on their iPhone, Android or Windows mobile device, allows them to receive the latest news, events, deals and discounts. They can also share their dining experience, favorite meal or their interest in an upcoming event with their social network.
“The most important message of the Chicago Innovation Awards is one of confidence and courage,” said Thomas D. Kuczmarski, co-founder with Chicago journalist Dan Miller of the awards. “The economy is challenging but each nominee believes the simple truth that a powerful new product or service will find a rewarding market and has the courage to pursue their vision.”
This year 13 judges, representing a range of Chicago’s business community, will be involved in an exhaustive and complex judging process to select the final ten winners of the Chicago Innovation Awards as well as ten “Up & Comer” award winners for smaller organizations still in the start-up phases of their innovations. In addition, each of the 75 finalists is automatically in the running for the annual “People’s Choice Award,” selected through online balloting at http://www.chicagoinnovationawards.com.
