Located in the heart of the Avenue of the Arts at 750 S. Broad St. Tindley Temple UMC where Lillian Smith is Pastor, will host the musical play “Beams of Heaven” on the life of its founder and the father of UMC, Dr. Charles Albert Tindley on October 26 – 27, 2012. Affectionately known as the Price of Preachers, Dr. Tindley opened the doors for many Pastors to enter into mega ministry and composed a cadre of gospel classics such as: ‘Beams of Heaven’, ‘We’ll Understand It Better By and By’, ‘Stand by Me’, and ‘The Storm is Passing Over.
Written and directed by the Main Lines own Clinton M. Jackmon Sr, this play will feature local Pastors: Rev. Dr. Alyn E. Waller, ENON Tabernacle Baptist Church http://www.enontab.org, Rev. James S.
