AgInfoLink Granted Patent for Third-Party Certification Using Enhanced Claim Validation

Supply chain patent offers continuous and complete traceability.

AgInfoLink Holdings, a leader in third party verification services including claims for Age and Source Verification, Non-Hormone Treated Cattle (NHTC), and Never Ever 3 (NE3) Natural for livestock producers, announces the grant of patent 8,249,954 B2, third-party certification using enhanced claim validation. This patent is aimed at giving consumers reassurance in the value and quality of the items they purchase through the claims that are made about that product (organic, kosher, age & source, etc).

In today’s complex food supply chain, verification consists of validating claim processes and information at each location as an item moves through the supply chain. The claim(s) is then electronically tied to a unique RFID or other computer-based tracking that follows that product through the food supply chain allowing continuous and complete traceability and transparency to vested parties including producers, feedlots, packers and ultimately consumers.

“We are pleased to receive this patent at AgInfoLink,” said Carrie Lewis-Huenink, Director of Livestock for AgInfoLink. “We strive to deliver maximum value to all our customers and to constantly provide the latest technology in the most cost effective way.”
