Red River Revel: North Louisiana's Largest Arts and Music Festival Begins its Week-Long Celebration of the Arts and Music for the Whole Family October 6th

The Red River Revel Arts Festival, the largest outdoor arts and music festival in North Louisiana, attracts 180,000+ people to the Shreveport riverfront from October 6-13, 2012. Musical headliners include: Cowboy Mouth, Adelitas Way, Trout Fishing in America, Cupid, The FARM, and many more.

In it’s 37th year, the Red River Revel Arts Festival is North Louisiana’s largest Arts and Music festival.

With over 120 visual artists from around the country the Revel invites you to explore the diverse showcase in Ceramics/Pottery; Computer Generated Art; Drawing; Fiber; Glass; Graphics/Printmaking; Jewelry; Metal; Mixed Media; Oils & Acrylics; Photography, Sculpture; Watercolor; Wood and more.

Local, regional, national and international musicians will perform between Saturday, October 6th and Saturday, October 13th, 2012, offering continuous live performances featuring alternative rock, jazz, blues, fiddle, acoustic, funk, rock, indie, classic rock, swing, r&b, Louisiana folk, pop, Christian rock and country. North Louisiana's largest music and arts festival will begin its week-long celebration of the arts for the whole family October 6, with high-powered musical performances by "Cowboy Mouth" and "Adelitas Way". Texas' own "Lauren Alexander" and famous musical duo "Trout Fishing in America" will perform on October 7th. The festival continues with "Twang Darkly" and the eclectic sound of "Sol Driven Train" on October 8th.

October 9th kicks off with the "The Hunts"  and their champion fiddling repertoire.   The musical intensity continues with "Forever Jones," "Sanctus Real," "Left Arm Tan" and "Easton Corbin" throughout the week.  Don't miss the final weekend with "Cupid" on Friday, October 12th, and country music Trio "The FARM" on October 13th.

One of the greatest things about the Revel is the delicious food. Many patrons count down to the festival in anticipation of eating their Revel favorites, from the Muffaletta Pizza and Turkey Legs to Funnel Cakes, there are many Revel treats you can't do without!
