"It’s beautiful, simple, and conveys the important information to get energy conservation measures approved," Christopher Gerber, Director of Facilities for High Tech High, a non-profit developer and operator of schools in Southern California

Boulder, CO (PRWEB) September 10, 2012

Renewable Choice (http://www.renewablechoice.com), a leading renewable energy and carbon management firm, and developer of Mosaic™ energy and carbon management software, is pleased to announce the addition of a web-based energy assessment service to its suite of offerings.

Faced with increasing demand from clients for insights into energy consumption and opportunities for efficiency, the new energy assessment service allows the firm to expand its software-as-a-service offerings as well as its client base. The energy assessment service is a logical outgrowth of more than a decade of experience working with clients on measuring and managing greenhouse gas emissions.

The web-based energy assessment service allows consultants to mine interval energy data and identify recurring patterns and anomalies in a facility’s usage history, presenting the results as actionable information that allow clients to effectively identify energy reduction opportunities. With the growing availability of data from smart meters, utilities, and the Green Button Initiative, this service provides market-leading energy analysis on data that was otherwise unavailable or unusable.

The energy assessment analysis includes an examination of the repeating or daily patterns in energy load, identification of subtle, long-term trends such as load creep, unexpected energy load jumps and associated costs, so-called “phantom” energy demand from facility equipment that is always turned on, and energy load during shut down periods. The new service will also provide clients with options for cost savings by helping them to identify sources and periods of energy inefficiency within their facilities.

“It’s a beautiful report that reads very easily,” said Christopher Gerber, Director of Facilities for High Tech High, a non-profit developer and operator of schools in Southern California. “I could share it with anyone – a CEO, a school principal.” Gerber went on to say, “Most firms just send over technical engineering reports. This is the first time I’ve actually seen someone make this type of data useful and visually appealing. It’s beautiful, simple, and conveys the important information to get energy conservation measures approved.”

The energy assessment process joins a broad complement of carbon and energy-related services offered by the firm including the easy-to-use Mosaic software platform, custom emissions calculations and disclosure, energy services, supply chain engagement, Carbon Disclosure Project reporting, and more.

“It has long been our practice to create solutions oriented around our clients’ needs,” said Matt Wood, Director of Business Development. “By evolving to include web-based energy assessment as a core offering in our portfolio, we have developed another means by which we can offer increasingly valuable services to our clients, helping them simultaneously identify cost saving opportunities and improve their environmental performance.”
