SiRRAN's new GSMnet Macro is a macro cell solution capable of quickly covering a large geographic area. Up and running in minutes, GSMNet Macro is ideal for use in remote or sparsely populated locations where subscriber or traffic densities are low, or for instant infrastructure deliver in disaster recovery and first responder efforts.
The delivered solution consists of a GSMnet Macro and two 2.75G GSMnet F Series servers, supplied ready to fit straight into the client’s existing 19” rack. Designed expand the capabilities of GSMnet F-Series, the GSMnet Macro provides the customer with a robust, space sensitive, secure and convenient way of housing up to 8 transceivers in a single enclosure located in the same 19” rack as the F-series server.
In addition to housing the BTS, the enclosure can also house up to 8 15W amplifiers, which can boost the range of each BTS over 6km, depending on terrain. GSMnet Macro allows the customer to have a number of BTS operating at different frequencies at the same time for minimum interference and maximum flexibility. The robust solution provides 360 degree cellular capacity with all the benefits of a datacentre environment – resiliency, redundancy and consistent uptime.
