Argington comments on an article published on KnoxNews.com about a 13-year-old’s personal quest to educate other children about the food industry.

On September 12, nursery bedding manufacturer Argington commented on an article published on KnoxNews.com about a boy who became interested in organic foods at a young age and wrote a book about it, in order to share what he learned about the food industry and encourage other children to learn about the food industry.

In an article appearing on KnoxNews.com, 13-year-old Birke Baehr is featured not only for writing a book to raise food industry awareness but also for his mission “to get people to think long and hard about the food they put in their bodies. Baehr wants consumers to consider not just what they buy but what is in it, how it is made, and where it comes from.” KnoxNews.com reports that Baehr became interested in “organic agriculture” at 8 years old and “the information he read impacted him so profoundly that his dreams of becoming an NFL player quickly turned to aspirations to own and operate an organic farm when he thought that he could impact the world more as a farmer than an athlete.” This led ultimately to his new book "Birke on the Farm,” which chronicles his story.

Argington spokesperson Clay Darrohn lauds the young man’s initiative, saying, “This young man has such a clear vision of what he wants to do with his life that it’s already altered his life path. How many little kids would give up the dream of being an NFL player and instead embrace such a serious life goal? His story is inspiring to anyone who believes that just one person can’t make a difference. At Argington, we embrace the organic lifestyle and our products speak to that mindset.”

As Birke Baehr proves, there really are no limits when it comes to embracing the organic lifestyle. Baehr has chosen to bring the message to other individuals. He told KnoxNews.com, "I just want to open their minds to a whole other realm of the industrialized food system and help them see how their food is processed and made."

Argington is stationed in New York and is a well-known manufacturer of fine baby furniture and nursery bedding. Proudly offering sustainable products that are organic or eco-friendly, Argington’s products are also designed with mobility and multiple uses in mind to make parents’ lives easier.
