The grant application process is now open and winners will be announced at the Optimum Lightpath New Jersey Education Technology Conference, which will be held November 13, 2012 at The Palace in Somerset, New Jersey. To date, the Optimum Lightpath Transforming Education with Technology grant program has awarded more than $250,000 to schools in the New York metro area.
“Since Optimum Lightpath began its education grant program in 2010, more than 350 K-12 schools have submitted applications detailing plans to integrate technology into curriculums,” said Julia McGrath, senior vice president of marketing and business development, Optimum Lightpath. “We are so inspired by the education advancements that our local schools are actively pursuing and proud that we’re able to help put some of these tech-based programs on the fast track with important grant dollars.”
Taking Learning To The Next Level
To continue helping New Jersey schools implement transformational technologies in the classroom, the Optimum Lightpath 2012 Transforming Education with Technology grant program will award up to $100,000 across selected schools. The program is available to New Jersey public and private elementary and secondary schools based in Cablevision’s service area. The Optimum Lightpath New Jersey Education Technology Conference will focus on top technology issues and the emerging opportunities that New Jersey schools have to leverage new technologies for enhanced student learning experiences.
