Paterson, New Jersey (PRWEB) September 10, 2012
Eva’s Village announces its 30th Anniversary Benefit Gala. Eva’s Village is a widely respected comprehensive anti-poverty organization which has been serving New Jersey’s poor for 30 years. Their mission is to feed the hungry, shelter the homeless, treat the addicted and to provide free medical and dental care to the poor. Wells Fargo Bank supports organizations working to strengthen our communities. Their commitment to improving the lives of others has been demonstrated time and time again through their generous support of Eva’s Village. Recognizing the commitment of Wells Fargo Bank in supporting the Paterson community, Eva’s Village has chosen them as the Where Hope Begins Honoree this year.
Wells Fargo Bank employees are encouraged to participate in community outreach through volunteerism. Their employees volunteer at Eva’s Kitchen on a regular basis feeding a hot nutritious lunch to the homeless and working poor and have conducted Mock Job Fairs for the clients at Eva’s Village.
This year Eva’s Village, in recognition of 30 years of dedicated service by The Church of Christ the King, New Vernon, has chosen them as the Community Service Honoree. Many parishioners continue their service of feeding the hungry each month. Msgr. Puma began Eva’s Village through the dedicated service of parishes like The Church of Christ the King. They are grateful to Father Paddy and all of the parishioners who so faithfully help the people of Eva’s Village.
Rapid Pump & Meter Service Co., Inc. and Machinery Services Corp., Paterson businesses owned by Rich Taylor are the event sponsors of the 30th Anniversary Benefit Gala for Eva’s Village. The Taylor family has been very supportive of Eva’s Village and its founder, Msgr. Vincent E. Puma since they served their first lunch almost 30 years ago. They have proudly operated their successful businesses in Paterson, NJ since 1978 and have always believed in giving back to the community. “It is an honor for us to help build Msgr. Puma’s vision providing for those in need,” states Rich Taylor.
Donna Marie Fico, Director of Marketing & Education at Eva’s Village, notes that the 30th Anniversary Benefit Gala for Eva’s Village is subtitled “30 Years of Hope.” “We feel it is important to recognize those who have helped Eva’s Village meet the growing need in our community, during our 30 years of service,” states Ms. Fico. “Eva’s Village has been able to grow and expand its services to meet the ever-increasing need because of the support of our dedicated volunteers and donors,” states Marie Reger, Executive Director of Eva’s Village. “Each year at our benefit gala we acknowledge donors and volunteers by honoring them for their service. Wells Fargo Bank and The Church of Christ the King have provided both financial and volunteer time in support of our programs over the years and they lead by example.”
