Although rankings only tell part of the story, the national recognition of Creighton University is a testament of the quality education students receive here," said Timothy R. Lannon, S.J. Creighton president.

Creighton University is recognized in the Princeton Review’s 2013 annual compilation of the best colleges and universities in the country. The University is listed as one of “The Best 377 Colleges” and is one of only 153 schools to be named “A Best Midwestern College.”

Princeton Review staff sorted through survey responses submitted by about 122,000 current students at institutions across the U.S. in answer to more than 80 questions on academics, administration, student life, student attitudes and themselves. For the “Best Midwestern College” designation, the University had to meet Princeton Review standards for academic excellence in the region.

Specific survey comments further illustrated the special nature of the University. One student said Creighton seeks to form graduates who “want to find deeper meanings in all that they do to enact change in the world.” Supportive faculty “know how to present material in an interesting manner.” Another noted the value placed on learning as a valuable pastime in itself, saying, “students at Creighton learn to enjoy the process, rather than just the product.” One survey responded said, “At Creighton students come first and it is as simple as that.”

“Although rankings only tell part of the story, the national recognition of Creighton University is a testament of the quality education students receive here,” said Timothy R. Lannon, S.J. Creighton president.
