Eat to Win held a 7 week Weight Loss Challenge encouraging overweight children ages 11-16 to use the Eat to Win program to make healthier choices. The goal for the challenge was to lose 5% of their body weight. To help sweeten the deal, Eat to Win offered a weekend trip to the Kalahari Resort in Sandusky, Ohio to all children who met their individual goals.

“We think it’s important to reward children who work hard and meet their goals, which is why we wanted to offer a reward to each child who qualified,” said Gary Gabel, Co-Founder of Eat to Win. “What better way of telling a kid they’ve accomplished something great than to send them to one of the most fun places in America?”

Eat to Win had two children who successfully completed the 7-week challenge and were rewarded with a trip to Kalahari Resorts in Sandusky, Ohio, complete with hotel room and admission.    For one of the two winners, Alana Pawlowski, this was the end of an effort that began last Fall. Alana, age 12, lost 7 pounds during the Eat to Win Challenge. According to Alana, “It was much easier keeping track of my foods using the Eat to Win weight loss game. Several of my friends now want to use the game to lose weight too.”

The contest began on July 9th and ended August 27th. You can see the results and pictures of our winners on our Eat to Win Facebook.
