Concordia University, Nebraska Music Faculty to Give Recital

The Sept. 23 concert will feature a variety of musical styles, vocal and instrumental performances

We do this recital every year because even though we are teachers, we are also performers who love to make music for others.

Music faculty at Concordia University, Nebraska will perform at the fall Faculty Showcase Recital on Sept. 23 at 3 p.m. The concert, held in the recital hall in the Music Center, will feature a variety of musical styles, vocal and instrumental performances.

“We do this recital every year because even though we are teachers, we are also performers who love to make music for others,” said Elizabeth Grimpo, assistant professor of music, who will accompany performers on piano. “It’s also a great opportunity for students to see and hear their instructors perform.”

The recital is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served afterward.

Stephanie Varilek, voice
