Techie.com, led by seasoned team of journalists and IT industry veterans, gains strong support from day one.

After years in the industry, writing for some of the most prominent IT companies and tech publications on the 'Net, technology author and A-list blogger Dan Blacharski announced today the launch of Techie.com. Going far beyond the run-of-the-mill "Software company releases version 2" type articles gleaned from press releases, Techie.com promises to deliver important thought leadership, a visionary look at where technology is going and why, and interviews with some of the most important and noteworthy people in the industry.

Techie.com's existing team brings together an eclectic group of professionals in their headquarters in the emerging Midwestern technology hub of South Bend, Indiana. This growing hub, built around the old Studebaker manufacturing corridor, features a high-tech industrial park, one of the country's largest fiber optic hubs, and a prominent carrier hotel, all within blocks of Techie.com's headquarters in the historic Vandalia Railway Station.

Techie.com's core vision is to present both strong, hands-on editorial content, along with a highly interactive platform that allows visitors to participate in a meaningful way. "Our editorial calendar is already full of thought-provoking content not seen on any other tech site," said Blacharski. "For too long, even the most prominent tech sites have contained far too many vendor articles and keyword-driven filler. We're approaching Techie.com from a journalistic perspective. Our strong content focus, along with a highly interactive approach and the incredible brand of Techie.com, will make this one of the top tech online destinations very quickly."

Lead investor and key partner World Media has worked with Blacharski and his team for many years, developing content for World's top-tier brands, including USA.com, Asia.com, and London.com. As owner and operator of many prominent domains, World Media president Gary Millin understands the value of the domain brand. "Techie.com is one of our most valuable domains," said Millin, "and we're very pleased to be entering into a lease agreement with Blacharski and his new company."We had been looking for a partner to develop this valuable brand, and with a name like Techie.com, we needed a partner with a very specific set of skills and deep experience. The stars aligned with Blacharski and his team, and we have every confidence that they will develop this brand into one of the premier technology destinations online."

Phase one of the initial angel round is nearly finalized; Techie.com is seeking additional investors to complete the initial funding. The complete beta site is expected to be live before the end of the year.
