The Law Offices of James Scott Farrin is pleased to announce that paralegal Judith Montenegro has been appointed to serve on the board of directors of Diamante Inc., a non-profit organization that works to promote the arts and culture of the Latino and Hispanic community in North Carolina.

Diamante’s many programs and initiatives include:

• College scholarships for Latino and Hispanic students
• Ritmo Latino Festival, a celebration of art, music, and food
• Star of Hope Campaign, which provides toys and food to low-income Latino children and families during the holidays
• A book fair that highlights works, readings and discussions with Latino authors
• Latino Diamante Awards Gala and Benefit, which recognizes community leaders

Montenegro was selected by a committee to serve a three-year term on the board, and she will be eligible for re-appointment at the expiration of her term. Her primary duties on the board will include volunteer outreach and marketing, including digital and social media communications.
