Pioneer Manufacturing Software Company Releases New CAD/CAM at Chicago Tool Show

As the International Machine Technology Show 2012 kicks off, BobCAD-CAM released their new Multi-Axis 4 & 5 Axis cnc software. Their new software opens the door for CNC shops that have machines that need to perform simultaneous 4 and 5 axis machining the ability to easily perform highly complicated cutting actions. "This type of machining is typically very complicated and requires software to aid in the whole programming stage," said Sean Owen who runs the support and service departments of BobCAD-CAM. New releases include both 4 and 5 axis simultaneous machining capabilities. New toolpath cutting strategies include:

•     Parallel Cuts
•     Cuts along Curve
•     Morph between 2 curves
•     Parallel To Multiple Curves
•     Project Curves
•     Morph between Surfaces
•     Parallel to Surface

The 5th axis standard includes a toolpath for trimming that works great for items such as vacuum molds or other shapes that require 5 Axis profile cutting. The 4th and 5th axis pro add-ons also include additional support for the     Tapered Tools, T-Cutters, Dove Tails and Lollipop Tool types.
