“We love having the opportunity to do pro bono work,” concluded Tom Simons. “It’s representative of our attachment to, and engagement with our community."

For over 20 years, a healthy and engaged client base has provided PARTNERS+simons, a Boston-based, full service marketing communications agency, with the enviable flexibility and resources to invest responsibly and entrepreneurially in its people and infrastructure.
PARTNERS+simons’ success has also afforded it the opportunity to devote a tremendous amount of talent and time to supporting the local Boston and greater Massachusetts communities. In continuation of a tradition near and dear to all of its employees, the agency is proud to be able to provide, on a pro bono basis, insightful brand strategy, fresh creative and informed interactive counsel to charitable and non-profit organizations who otherwise wouldn’t be able to pay for it.
“We consider ourselves fortunate to be in the position of being able to donate our time on behalf of these worthy initiatives,” said Tom Simons, CEO of PARTNERS+simons.
Most recently, the agency has completed pro bono work for the Freedom Trail Foundation (http://www.TheFreedomTrail.org), the Wheelock Family Theatre (http://www.wheelockfamilytheatre.org), and the Save Buzzards Bay Coalition (http://www.savebuzzardsbay.org).
"As a top tourist attraction in Boston, the Freedom Trail needs to reach today's audiences," said Tom Simons. “Our agency donated its time and talent to the Freedom Trail Foundation to bring a new, intuitive, and engaging website to life.” Just launched in mid-June, the site features streamlined experiences for users to purchase tickets to Freedom Trail tours and products; find information about historic sites – on and steps off the Trail; support highly successful and innovative education programs; and help preserve these rare historic sites through the Freedom Trail Foundation’s Preservation Fund. New web features also include a comprehensive Calendar of Events, This Day In History videos, online games, and Podcasts.
Mr. Simons continued, “We also created a new advertising campaign, “Walk the Freedom Trail Through History”, that visitors will see highlighted throughout the city of Boston this summer and fall.”
For the Wheelock Family Theatre, a professional, Equity theatre based in Boston committed to performance and education, PARTNERS+simons donated its expertise and creative talent to create a consistent brand strategy, ad campaign, e-newsletter and website in anticipation of the theatre’s 30th anniversary season.
“With PARTNERS+simons support, our 30th anniversary year was our biggest and best ever by leaps and bounds,” said Charles G. Baldwin, Director of Publicity and Marketing, Wheelock Family Theatre. “Our audience is now able to visit the new website and easily learn about all of the things we offer – not only our shows, but classes and summer programs too. They can now purchase tickets online, check out our featured events, read about our philanthropic mission and even get to know the members our board of directors, as well as our actors. We’ve been selling out shows this year and believe the consistency in branding PARTNERS+simons delivered truly helped to make a tremendous difference.”
PARTNERS+simons also created a new logo and brand identity for the Buzzards Bay Coalition, a non-profit, membership-supported organization dedicated to the protection, restoration, and sustainable use of Buzzards Bay in Massachusetts and its watershed. The work showcases the beauty of Buzzards Bay, the heroes dedicated to saving it and keeping it safe and what an exciting place it is to discover and explore.
“We love having the opportunity to do pro bono work,” concluded Tom Simons. “It’s representative of our attachment to, and engagement with, our community. This body of work is not a part of a grand strategy, or to curry favor with potential clients. It is simply the result of seeing the occasional opportunity to contribute our time and talent locally, and doing that. And not only is it fun for us to help make it easier for everyone to engage with local institutions, we’re proud to be associated with each and every one of them.”
