Mr. Apple brings more than 15 years of business development and program management experience in Federal and State government contracts, as well as almost 30 years in Federal law enforcement. He recently retired as the President of SafeGuard Services (SGS), a subsidiary of HP Enterprise Services, where he established the company as one of the largest Program Integrity contractors with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) operating Medicare Fraud, Waste and Abuse detection in 17 States. Preceding the formation of SGS, Mr. Apple was at EDS, where he was named head of global investigations and later served as the Program Director of EDS’ Program Safeguard Contract and the Medicare Drug Integrity Contract (MEDIC), responsible for operations of six separate task orders operating in 40 States under contracts held with CMS. Prior to entering the private sector, Mr. Apple had a 27-year distinguished career with the FBI, where, at the time of his retirement, he was the Assistant Special Agent in Charge of its Dallas Division. In this capacity, Mr. Apple ran the fifth largest FBI White Collar Program in the nation.

Mr. Apple is a graduate of Ball State University. He and his wife of 30 years reside in Plano, TX. He has three daughters and two grandchildren.
