Leading online job board helps military job seekers find employment in private industry and civilian roles. Servicemen and women can easily be matched with top employers, and can apply for military-friendly job opportunities.

We are blown away at the instant response and could not be happier! -- Erin Voirol, talent management gateway development manager at MSCCN.org

The Employment Guide, a division of Dominion Enterprises, has announced the rollout of its “Putting Veterans Back to Work” initiative aimed at helping our military servicemen and women find new careers upon returning to the civilian sector. Veterans can find top employers who understand the value military experience brings to the workforce and also can apply for a number of military-friendly job opportunities.

Employers will be featured in the “Putting Veterans Back to Work” showcase to be displayed in the center spread of the EmploymentGuide.com print publication for four weeks. These publications will be distributed in high traffic areas within 26 major markets across the country. In addition to the print publication, employers will post their job listings on vets.employmentguide.com, facilitating an easy and straightforward application process. As more job seekers turn to their mobile devices every day, they will be able to also access these job listings via EmploymentGuide.com’s mobile friendly site, VetFriendlyJobs.mobi.

In addition to companies seeking employees, veterans transitioning from military service will find other resources available through The Employment Guide. One such resource is Military Spouse Corporate Career Network (MSCCN.org). That non-profit organization has taken advantage of the “Putting Veterans Back to Work” showcase and has already seen dramatic results.

“It’s always difficult to ensure our marketing energies are put to good use. Many times we do not see a quick return on our investment, but that is definitely not the case with our first experience with the Employment Guide. On Day 1, we received more than 35 phone calls from job-seeking applicants interested in our program. We are blown away at the instant response and could not be happier!” said Erin Voirol, talent management gateway development manager at MSCCN.org.

By launching this initiative, The Employment Guide not only helps our veterans find meaningful and long-term employment as they leave their military careers, but also allows employers to find highly motivated and successful talent.
