It’s a problem that no one talks about but it’s been a virus in high school sports for years.”

Steve Lewis, Director of Media Relations - The College Player

The College Player is announcing the release of its’ new website platform providing cutting edge high school tips to middle school parents and athletes. Educating Middle School families about the transition to high school and academic preparation for NCAA eligibility is critical for today’s athlete. The college recruiting process is starting earlier than ever and athletes are being identified as early as 7th and 8th grade. Yet, every year, high school seniors lose opportunities to play college sports due to academic mistakes that are made during an athlete’s freshman and sophomore year.

Steve Lewis, Director of Media Relations for The College Player states, “there are no programs, until now, that are dedicated to middle school families to help them take the proper steps as their children enter high school. Juniors and seniors lose opportunities every year due to academic mistakes they make as freshman and sophomores. So many times, college coaches identify a talented athlete because they have shown promise on the field. But when they look at the athlete’s high school transcript, they see the student has taken courses the NCAA won’t accept. It’s a problem that no one talks about, but it’s been a virus in high school sports for years.”

The College Player’s new website provides a multitude of information that parents, with children starting high school can take advantage of from their home computer or mobile device. There is a free news feed with up to date recruiting information and a VIP membership program that provides video consulting and articles from former college coaches and recruiting experts. The College Player’s staff also travels the globe providing seminars at middle school convocations and public speaking engagements for any event that has a middle school focus.

The College Player’s new website is designed to provide a new information platform to middle school families around the globe that will assist in the success of family's quest to play college sports.
