Caregiving is forecasted to be the second fastest-growing profession in the nation over the next decade. Further, the rate of familial caregiving is sky rocketing as Baby Boomers age and families are left with little financial option but to provide care in-the-home.
In light of thousands of new caregivers joining the workforce each month, some by choice and others by need, myCNAjobs is launching a caregiver contest to bring together the experienced caregiver community with new caregivers just entering the market.
"We're inviting both professional and familial caregivers to share their stories and advice," says Brandi Kurtyka, the CMO of myCNAjobs. "We've created this platform as a formal - yet fun - way for caregivers and certified nursing assistants to share a single piece of advice to new caregivers that are just getting acquainted with the role."
Contest Entry Rules are simple. Select a platform - Twitter, YouTube, or a Blog - and share a single piece of advice that you've learned along the way and/or wished you would have known earlier on.
1. Tweet your tip to @myCNAjobs and include the hashtag #myCNAjobsContest.
2. Write a blog post, linking to http://www.myCNAjobs.com and e-mail info(at)myCNAjobs(dot)com with the URL once it's live.
3. Submit a video on YouTube, including "myCNAjobs.com Caregiver ShareIT Contest" in the title.
4. Submit a comment on the official ShareIT blog post.
All entrants will be recognized and are appreciated. Some entrants will win one of many (at least 5) $25 Visa Gift Cards for the entries that makes us laugh the hardest, cry the hardest, and most importantly, touch and influence the life of a fellow caregiver. Each entry should be grounded in offering a single piece of advice to a caregiver just entering the space.
Final entries will be consolidated and posted online at "Caregiver ShareIT" along with the recipients of the $25 Gift Cards by October 31, 2012.
