Sacramento Personal injury attorney, John Demas, establishes the “Green Apple Award” School Supplies Gift Program. The Program is to assist local classrooms by recognizing exceptional teachers in the community. Each week one teacher from Citrus Height, Davis, Elk Grove, Folsom, Rancho Cordova, Rocklin, Roseville, Sacramento and Woodland public schools is selected through nominations to receive the Green Apple Award.

The Program is to assist local classrooms by recognizing exceptional teachers in the community. Each week one teacher from Citrus Height, Davis, Elk Grove, Folsom, Rancho Cordova, Rocklin, Roseville, Sacramento and Woodland public schools is selected through nominations to receive the Green Apple Award. The winner receives a $100 OfficeMax gift card to assist with purchasing classroom supplies.

A weak economy and decreased school budgets have forced teachers to spend more of their own earnings to continue making their classroom an enriching. Teaches in the United States spent more than $1.33 billion out of pocket on supplies and instructional materials in the 2009-2011 school year.

Rules:

1.    Each week during the school year the Sacramento personal injury attorney, at the Demas
        Law Group, P.C., will award a $100 OfficeMax gift card to one teacher for use in his/ her
        classroom.
2.    A teacher or classroom is only eligible to win one time per academic school year.
3.    Exceptional teachers can be nominated by friends, colleagues, administration, parents,            
         students, or even themselves.
4.    Only teachers within State of California are eligible.
5.    Winners will be notified via phone and email.

John N. Demas established the Green Apple Award School Supplies Gift Program to help teachers in California Public Schools get the supplies they need for their students.
