Eze Castle Integration, Inc., a leading provider of strategic IT solutions and private cloud services to hedge funds, today announced it is hosting a series of events and launching a Hedge Fund Security Knowledge Center during September in recognition of Hedge Fund Security Awareness Month. Working closely with its partner eSentire, a provider of managed security solutions, Eze Castle created these events and online resources to educate the hedge fund industry on data protection considerations, the security threat landscape and need-to-know network security information and best practices.

The first event, “The Ins and Outs of Security and Data Protection for Hedge Funds,” will take place in New York on Thursday, September 13 and will feature speakers from Davidson Kempner Capital Management, eSentire, Simmons & Simmons and Eze Castle Integration. The experts will cover data protection best practices, legal concerns regarding data protection, and important information on network and cloud security. Attendees can register here: http://www2.eci.com/l/5322/2012-08-21/gdcww.

The second event is a webinar on September 25 at 11 a.m. ET and will focus on “Turning Hedge Fund Security Inside-Out: Why Your Firm May Already Be Compromised – And What To Do About It.” Speakers from eSentire and Eze Castle will dive deep into security and data protection issues with a focus on security risks for a company that is already comprised. They will provide details on how to turn security efforts inside-out to find any existing threats. Attendees can register here: http://www2.eci.com/l/5322/2012-09-06/gtb37.

Eze Castle has also unveiled a new Hedge Fund Security Knowledge Center, which includes whitepapers, articles and videos on the latest security risks and best practices for maintaining a secure network and cloud environment. “A majority of companies institute proactive solutions to protect against external breaches and security threats. However, many firms may already be comprised and just not know it,” said J. Paul Haynes, CEO at eSentire. “Through these events with Eze Castle Integration and its online knowledge center, we can further educate hedge funds and investment firms on the security threat landscape, why threat intelligence and behavioral analysis are critical and how to best protect their data.”

Bob Guilbert, managing director of Eze Castle Integration, said, “Protecting data and ensuring network security is critical for any company, but even more within the financial world, as firms access sensitive information on a daily basis. Additionally, these firms must demonstrate to their investors and regulatory bodies that there are processes in place to guard against threats. Our team is dedicated to educating and offering resources to assist firms in taking proactive steps to avoid security issues.”
