“Since we charge by the minute and with our very robust tracking system we have been anticipating this milestone,” said RedCap chief operating officer, Dave Kielkucki. “That figure represents north of 15,000 rides.”

Kielkucki said that the category is so new and fragmented that it’s difficult to put the market in perspective but he’s confident there is no company in the nation that has reached RedCap’s level of sophistication.

According to Kielkucki only a fraction of their business is related to helping its customers get home at night.

“We deliver drivers for doctor visits, trips to the airport, car service, seniors, children, errands, you name it,” said Kielkucki. “We run the gamut of anything you can do with your own vehicle but need a driver. Personal drivers used to be the exclusive domain of the wealthy but RedCap makes it possible for anyone to now afford that luxury.”

Kielkucki also said that RedCap’s technology is second to none.

“Our customers are in control and that helps us grow and become more efficient in the service we deliver,” said Kielkucki. “They can book a driver on our site or their phone, get to know their driver by seeing profile information and their rating, and even get real time text notifications and links to their driver’s location and estimated time of arrival (ETA). Customer can also save favourites, use multiple credit cards and view receipts all on their mobile device. It’s really easy to use and available on any HTML 5 phone or browser. Our technology allows us to rapidly react and improve our business without the hassles of full blown native apps.”

He added that the Company is closing in on its 100th driver each of who go through a very extensive vetting process.
