Identity Direct, a leading global personalised gifts website, are celebrating their 20th year in business this month. Since 1992 Identity Direct have been delivering personalised products to hundreds of thousands of happy customers.

In the early 1990’s, Greene came across a collection of personalised books. She thought it was a fantastic idea but was disappointed that it was being neglected. They were old, out-dated tales and the child was not truly at the heart of the story. The books lacked the magic she knew they should have.
So in 1992, Linda and husband Tom brought together a team of talented illustrators and writers to develop a new range of personalised books. In September that year Identity Direct was launched with the original My Adventure Books collection. This included the best selling My Special Christmas Adventure book. The new personalised books had colourful pictures and put the child and their friends at the centre of the story. The stories told of fun adventures like joining Santa as he delivered toys on Christmas Eve.
Since launching in 1992, Identity Direct have grown into 5 regions worldwide: Australia, New Zealand, Canada, USA and the UK. The range has also grown to include hundreds of different personalised products. “Today we sell everything from books and labels, to towels, school supplies and more. All personalised on demand to cater for even the most unusual name,” says Greene.
Over their 20 year history, Identity Direct have also built up relationships with global children’s brands including Disney, Nickelodeon, Sesame Street and Marvel. “Many of our personalised gifts feature favourite children’s characters like Disney’s Princesses or Spider-Man. That just adds a whole other level to the magic of a personalised gift when it includes something the kids love. We hear such great stories of children being so excited that they’ve been included in a story with their favourite character. Sometimes they’re just in disbelief!”
