New Personal Flotation Device Company H3O Sports Expanding
Startup Seeking Retailers to Carry Spring Line of Human Bobber Products
Fort Lauderdale, Fla. (PRWEB) September 14, 2012
After a soft launch in 2011, Fort Lauderdale-based H3O Sports, a new retail company specializing in multipurpose personal flotation devices, is expanding and seeking vendors nationwide to carry its spring line of Human Bobber products:
The Bottoms Up is a patent-pending, dual-purpose personal flotation device that features a slim fit, wide-arm rotation, flexible panelized design, and simple hardware. When worn as a vest, the Bottoms Up is ideal for active water sports such as wakeboarding, tubing and water skiing. Through the use of a multi-directional zipper, the device can quickly be inverted and worn like a pair of shorts, which allows users to float comfortably in the water while keeping their arms, shoulders and head above the water's surface. The Bottoms Up is currently being tested for United States Coast Guard (USCG) approval by the Underwriter's Laboratory (UL), an independent, non-profit product safety testing and certification organization.
- The multi-purpose, patent-pending Scuttlebutt can be used as an in-water lounge chair, a kayak seat, or worn like a pair of shorts, which allows users' legs to move freely under water while their arms, shoulders and head remain above the water’s surface. The Scuttlebutt features panelized flexible PVC foam wrapped in soft, durable neoprene fabric for supreme comfort during water recreation.
- The Kayak Strap is an additional component to the Scuttlebutt that quickly converts it into a comfortable kayak seat. The 30-inch nylon strap features two durable metal clasps that feed through the Scuttlebutt’s rear-panel loops to connect to standard kayak u-hooks. The strap’s adjustable buckles allow the seat to recline at a variety of angles for optimal comfort.
“After a year of limited release, we are pleased to offer our customers products that have been market-tested and upgraded so that each personal flotation device offers maximum comfort and a multitude of recreational capabilities," said Doug Schultz of H3O Sports, who co-founded the company in 2011 with Justin Rietema.
H3O Sports products are currently available at select marine and boating events and trade shows; online at h3osports.com; at Scheels Sports locations in Reno, Nev., Fargo, N.D., Sioux Falls, S.D., and Omaha, Neb.; Parks Marina in Okoboji, Iowa; and B&F Marine and Yacht Distributors in Miami.
"When H3O Sports designed their line of Human Bobber multi-functional personal flotation devices, they not only reinvented the wheel, they perfected it,” said Frankie Tollinche of Yacht Distributors. “These products are comfortable, offer multiple options for using the devices, and people really enjoy them.”
Retailers interested in carrying the Human Bobber product line are encouraged to email H3O Sports at contact(at)h3osports(dot)com. For more information, http://www.h3osports.com or http://www.facebook.com/H3OWaterSports.
