We expect the new website to function as an extremely useful resource for everyone, including families, educators, volunteers, and supporters interested in investing in our work.

Fall 2013 will mark the beginning of the first academic year for Purpose Prep. Though it will be another year before the school opens its doors to an inaugural class of Kindergarten students, extensive information about Purpose Prep can be found on their new website today.

The Founder and Head of School Lagra Newman believes that the Internet is a major channel to connect and communicate with families and community members throughout Nashville. “Our main priority is to provide our scholars with the tools they need to begin a successful academic journey toward college. A part of fulfilling that mission is providing members of the Nashville area and surrounding communities with plenty of information about our school’s mission, our dual focus on rigorous academics and positive character education, and our challenging, structured, and joyful learning environment.”

Purpose Prep’s focus on the achievement of their scholars is evident from their homepage which features a slideshow of students actively engaged in learning, drawn in by dedicated educators. The homepage also contains links to the college preparatory school’s social media pages, specifically their Facebook and Twitter sites, and includes an inspiring video that provides a glimpse into what learning will look like at Purpose Prep. There is also a section entitled, “The Purpose Prep Day” that provides a complete look at a student’s day. Each portion of the website is divided into sections that are easily navigable with drop down menus. On the website families can also find a Purpose Prep student enrollment form and educators can learn about job opportunities and apply for positions from the careers page. “We expect the new website to function as an extremely useful resource for everyone, including families, educators, volunteers, and supporters interested in investing in our work,” stated Newman.

The website further offers information on how individuals and organizations can invest in the work of Purpose Prep. Rita Mitchell, Treasurer of Purpose Prep’s Board of Directors, emphasized, “We do not charge tuition to our families and our academic program is fully supported by government funding. However, to provide our scholars with the full Purpose Prep education, which includes the daily use of technology, college field trips at every grade level and frequent enrichment activities, the financial investment of our supporters is critical. We are appreciative of our current partnerships and we are confident that as awareness of Purpose Prep grows, we will mobilize the support necessary to ensure plentiful opportunities for our scholars.”
