Sandy Wieber, VP of Marketing at MidAtlantic Farm Credit, has announced the hiring of Kurt Fuchs as the association's government affairs officer. According to Wieber, Fuch's responsibilities will be coordinating all of the association's legislative activities including building positive relationships with legislators, industry groups, and centers of influence.
Fuchs comes to MidAtlantic Farm Credit from Maryland Farm Bureau where he was the assistant director of government relations.
"We're very excited to have Kurt as part of our team. His knowledge of state and local politics, as well as his strong reputation with industry groups, will be a great foundation for his new role," says Wieber.
Fuchs is equally excited about his new role. He says, " The connections that I've built and the experience I've gained over the past 10 years of legislative and regulatory affairs work will serve MidAtlantic's members well as I work to build similar relationships throughout the entire territory."
Fuchs graduated from McDaniel College (formerly Western Maryland College) in Westminster, Maryland and is an alumni of LEAD Maryland.
