Two Swedish players in the cloud services industry- software developer, Cloudfinder and Google Apps reseller, Avalon Innovation - have joined forces in a move that will give Swedish and Norwegian companies access to Cloudfinder’s unique cloud backup service.
The advent of cloud-based services has allowed companies of every size to have instant access to data while reducing the cost of storing and maintaining this data. However, the ease and flexibility that comes with these cloud-based solutions has also meant that companies are putting themselves at greater risk should the data vanish unexpectedly. Cloudfinder’s backup service allows companies to archive all of their cloud-based data so that they can easily retrieve different versions, restore previous versions, and even monitor the activity related to the data. With its advanced search features and easy restore options, Cloudfinder gives companies control over their cloud-based data, and as such services like Google Apps become attractive to companies that would otherwise hesitate at the thought of moving e-mail, documents, and other sensitive company data to the cloud.
Cloudfinder currently supports Google Apps, and the company plans to add more cloud services, such as Salesforce, to its roster during the final quarter of 2012.
“We are very excited about working with Avalon,” says Marcus Nyman, CEO of Cloudfinder. “We’ve built Cloudfinder to help IT feel comfortable keeping company data in the cloud, and still sleep well at night. With Avalon as our partner, we know Cloudfinder will be part of a very professional and customer oriented sales process.”
“Cloudfinder fills a need with many companies looking to start using cloud based services,” says Agnes Sävenstedt, Head of Cloud & IT Management at Avalon Innovation. “With Cloudfinder we can offer a complete solution that allows us to do business with companies that so far have not been prepared to move their data to the cloud. Many of our existing customers have also shown great interest in Cloudfinder.”
Cloudfinder for Google Apps is currently available to businesses as a renewable, monthly subscription-based service. For more information about Cloudfinder, please visit http://www.cloudfinder.com.
