We want to make it easy for people to find out information related to translation....

Confluent Translations is swimming the social media waters and going beyond the confines of its website. As they keep abreast of industry and vertical markets that are heavily involved in translation through International Review Board (IRB) or European Commission (EC) requirements, they are posting or re-posting the information on their Blog, Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook accounts.

“We want to make it easy for people to find out information related to translation, especially knowing that in today’s world people have the choice to use the type of social media that they are most comfortable with,” stated Charlene Nagy, CEO and President of Confluent. “Many people only follow one or two at the most.”

People can view company blog posts at for more in-depth information on translation and localization trends and best practices. You can search and review post, like the two most recent blogs regarding best practices for language review and interpreting projects.

“Since social media is a hot topic in pretty much every industry, we felt it important to create a Twitter account so that people can receive up-to-date and immediately released information regarding major news, industry trends, general announcements and our daily activities," commented Nancy Cardone, Confluent's Business Development Manager. People can follow on Twitter: @confluenttrans and also review previous tweets.

Confluent’s LinkedIn page has been active, but now is tied into all the other social media as well at They also post job listings and services there.

A decision was made to create a Facebook page knowing that many people involved with translation are also very active on Facebook throughout the day. In the Facebook search box type Confluent Translations, go to the page and hit the “Like” button.
Confluent has placed all these links at the bottom of their website for people who want to connect, learn more or share information.

Confluent, currently celebrating its 20th year in the translation business, is an ISO 9001:2008 certified woman owned business. Confluent is one of only a select number of language service providers listed on the GSA Advantage website under contract # GS-10F-0098Y effective until 12/2016, with three 5-year renewal options.
