Pure Play Kids (http://www.pureplaykids.com/), an emerging leader in creative, made-in-USA toys, is excited to announce the opening of its wooden toy-making facility in Centerville, TN, southeast of Nashville. Dubbed “Tennessee Toyworks,” Pure Play Kids’ new wood shop facility will craft the company’s great wooden toys and provide the production capacity needed to satisfy growing retail and wholesale demand.

“This is a very exciting step in Pure Play Kids’ growth,” said CEO Tania Grant. “We’re thrilled to unify production under one roof, and we’re thrilled to be able to do this in Tennessee and in the United States. The ‘Tennessee Toyworks’ facility will allow us to create many more great new toys with 100% control of materials, standards, environmental practices and safety from start to finish.”

Pure Play Kids will host an opening reception at 11AM on October 9, 2012 for members of the media, civic leaders, retailers, suppliers and community. In addition to a great product display, Pure Play Kids will provide refreshments, a ribbon cutting ceremony and a local introduction to the company and its management.

“Come see how Pure Play Kids is creating American jobs in a time and in a place where jobs are greatly needed,” continued Tania Grant. “Between corporations outsourcing manufacturing to Asia and businesses closing during the recession, Pure Play Kids is getting great Americans back to work making creative and fun products. Over 95% of toys sold in America are mass-produced in Asia; Pure Play Kids exists to provide a thoughtful, made-in-USA alternative to the existing toy manufacturing landscape.”

The Centerville, TN facility measures 10,000 square feet and provides the company ample capacity for its existing products and exciting new products. Pure Play Kids’ wooden cash register, wooden fire engine, and new Mail Truck Shape Sorter are among the first items being produced at Tennessee Toyworks. Our new wooden fishing rod toy is also being produced.

“Pure Play Kids is committed to doing everything the right way. We don’t cut corners. We use the best quality materials. Pure Play Kids toys are made in America to ensure high standards of quality, safety and environmental responsibility.”

Pure Play Kids designs, builds and sells creative, battery-free toys made in USA. The company has a keen focus on wooden toys, organic cloth toys and other items made from safe materials.
