Harrisburg, Pennsylvania (PRWEB) September 13, 2012

Global infrastructure firm Gannett Fleming Inc. was named in four out of the six categories of Roads & Bridges magazine’s Go-To List of 2012 Top Design Firms.
Roads & Bridges has described the results as “a complete and thorough series of lists that those in the transportation industry can use to chase down the top designers.” They are based on professional preference, not annual revenues.
“This recognition is especially meaningful to us because it illustrates how our clients feel about the quality and value of our work,” said William M. Stout, P.E., chairman and CEO of Gannett Fleming, Inc. “More than an industry honor, it’s confirmation that our tagline is not just something we believe internally. Our clients at Departments of Transportation around the nation have affirmed that we can be relied on for Excellence Delivered As Promised.”
Gannett Fleming ranked:

  •     No. 9 in the Top Bridge Design Firms
  •     No. 10 in Top Design-Build Firms
  •     No. 10 in Top Mass-Transit Design
  •     No. 14 in Top Road & Highway Design.
The annual ranking contains prominent engineering institutions covering virtually every phase of the industry. Roads & Bridges magazine sends a survey to more than 10,000 of its government Department of Transportation readers who, in turn, select the firms they prefer to work with on infrastructure projects.
“The success of Gannett Fleming’s rankings is truly a result of our employees’ commitment to delivering excellence, innovation, and quality to our clients,” said Robert M. Scaer, P.E., president and COO of Gannett Fleming, Inc. “We are honored to be listed among the nation’s top engineering firms.”
The areas of discipline recognized in this program include road and highway, bridge, airport, mass transit, storm water and design-build.
