Charles River Movers Volunteers at the 8th Annual Honor Program at Boston's Garden of Peace

Charles River Movers in Waltham, Mass. announces that it will be a volunteer this year at the Garden of Peace's 8th Annual Honor Program on September 20th, 2012. Each year the Board of Directors and volunteers organize the event to dedicate the new names of homicide victims that are being added to the Garden.

Charles River Movers, a full-service moving company serving the greater Boston area, is pleased to announce that they will be volunteering at the 8th Annual Honor Program for the Garden of Peace in Boston. The program will be held on September 20th, 2012 from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. and will give family and friends of homicide victims the opportunity to dedicate new names engraved in the Garden and honor the names of victims dedicated in previous years.

The Mission of the Garden of Peace, Inc. is to memorialize Massachusetts homicide victims and to raise awareness of the cost of violence to our society. The program will feature a slideshow, which will run indoors throughout the program. The keynote speaker will be Rev. Jeffrey Brown of the Ten Point Coalition. The event also includes music, remembrances by family members and the Reading of Victim Names and Candle Lighting. The 2012 program marks Charles River Movers' 4th year assisting with the set up and clean up of the folding chairs that are used for the program.

The Garden of Peace memorial site is located in Boston near the State House on Somerset Street. The Honor Program takes place adjacent to the Garden on the upper plaza between the McCormack State Office Building and 100 Cambridge Street.
