Wick Phillips Adds Michael W. Bailey to Corporate and Finance Team

Wick Phillips, a full-service business law firm with offices in Dallas, Fort Worth and Austin, Texas, announces the addition of Michael W. Bailey as an associate in the Corporate and Finance group. Based in the Dallas office, Bailey will represent borrowers and lenders on a variety of financial transactions and other corporate matters. His clients include money-center financial instructions, regional banks, finance companies and private investment funds.

In addition to his work in financial services, Bailey has closed transactions for borrowers in a variety of industries, including energy, healthcare and media/telecommunications. Specializing in syndicated loans, asset-based loans, private offerings, workouts, swaps, derivative transactions and structured financings, he also assists clients with the acquisition and disposition of debt instruments on the secondary market. His representative transactions include both cross-border and domestic financings, while providing advice on general corporate issues.

•      $2.5 billion multi-currency facility for an asset management company;
•      $470 million senior credit facility supporting the acquisition of a competitor of a frozen

        foods manufacturer and wholesaler;

•      $175 million senior credit facility for an oil and gas company;
•      $150 million syndicated senior secured credit facility for a credit card payment systems

     company;

•      $100 million auto loan warehouse facility representing the lead arranger and administrative

        agent; and,

•      $100 million warehouse facility for an automobile finance company.

A Dean’s Scholar of the University of Virginia School of Law, Bailey earned his J.D. in 2006. He graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in political science and economics from Florida State University in 2003.
