One of the nation’s leading wholesalers of digital light processing projectors is deepening its investment in the industry by securing more than 50 new Barco three-chip DLP projectors.

By more than doubling its inventory, Wagner Media is solidifying its ranking near the top among wholesalers of digital image products and saying at the same time that Barco projectors are the best choice.

“Barco is winning the race of digital innovation,” said Wayne Wagner, president and CEO of the company that bears his name and who also personally tested the projectors while in their developmental stage.

Wagner, whose company now boasts more than 100 Barco projectors on hand, added that this piece of 3D-ready equipment simply is “the superior product over its competition. It’s 30 percent brighter, it’s the most reliable and it delivers the best picture quality.”

Peter Lund, Barco’s sales manager, said that Wagner’s input as an adviser on the front end had a lot to do with this substantial purchase.

“We listened to what operators on the ground wanted,” said Lund. “Wayne’s hands-on experience made him a valuable resource to build in his suggested performance features. We weren’t satisfied with the finished product until we knew that he and other clients were also satisfied.”

Because Wagner Media is able to upgrade its inventory of Barco FLM-HD18 to FLM-HD20 and HDX-W14 to HDX-W18 without having to start over and make a major capital reinvestment, plus the fact that Barco is standardized on one lens platform for the RLM, FLM, HDX, HDF projectors, making your ROI higher, the purchase was too financially enticing to pass up.

“Barco offered upgrades that nobody else was,” Wagner said. “We’re buying Barco because they continue to work on upgrades and on new products. We are investing in them because they are investing in us and all of their other customers.”

Wagner said that when he’s asked why he’s buying from Barco, the answer is amazingly simple: “I can make more money. That’s why we are in business. To make money.”
